* CFRX NEWS!!! *

Hello All,

As some of you already know, this summer will mark the 2nd Anniversary for CrossFit Rx. We have been extremely fortunate to work with so many wonderful clients over the last couple of years and we are so thankful to all of you for making CFRx what it has become today. This summer will also be transitional for CrossFit Rx. We have been offered an opportunity to move into a larger and more accommodating space, and we will be doing so at the end of July. Our new location is in the same building (1530 DeKalb Ave), but is on the back side of Radial Cafe, with entrances on Mell Ave. It is over twice the size, and has two restrooms, a shower and a changing room. We are very excited about the move and cannot wait to make it happen.

Along with our relocation, we will also be taking a look at ways to improve the quality of your CFRx membership by making some minor adjustments to the way that we do things. Some of these adjustments will be made immediately, while others will be made based on everyone’s feedback, requests and needs. We know that sometimes coming to the gym takes a great deal of effort, so we are striving to make your experience here as stress free and as smooth as possible. Our goal is to provide pre-workout coaching, and to help create a more fun atmosphere by starting workouts as a group. In order to do this effectively, we would request attendance at the top of the hour (or soon TBA session times). Additionally, we will be reinforcing our request that each person do the listed WOD (workout of the day) on its corresponding day of the week. This means Monday WODs will be done on Monday, Tuesday on Tuesday and so on. You are still free to make up missed or desired workouts; we just ask that those be done on HQ Rest Days. We will still offer ALT WODs for those that are in need for personal reasons and those that choose to lift weights will still have that option as long as it doesn’t inhibit the flow of the group workouts. However, “cherry picking” and “sniping” will have to be exclusive to rest days. This is to ensure that everyone is on the same page, everyone gets the same quality coaching, everyone has appropriate equipment, and everyone has the same opportunity to participate with and learn from their fellow athletes.

We are also toying with other ideas to make CFRx better for you all. For example: Coaching sessions for competitors, Olympic/power lifting personal training, nutritional counseling, and more.   4. I’m looking forward to the changes. One scheduling idea that I would like & wonder if others would: a Sunday time that would allow church attendance– either 9am or 1pm or later.
