  1. First day back after a long layoff. Filthy Fifty was a bit of rough return. 41:53 Rx. 15 minutes slower than my PR back in April 2010. 2 minutes slower than my first Rx Filthy Fifty back in April 2009. Hoping to come back regularly assuming my back cooperates.

    • Ease back in!

  2. Well now I feel like a moron. I thought there was a scaled women’s weight, but just discovered that every site except CFNE has the weight at 45# for men and women. So I guess technically I scaled. Don’t listen to me next time.

34:28. 35# barbell for PP and Good Mornings.

    • some gyms use 35# for women…but no idea cause some gyms use 20# wbs for everyone…maybe it’s just what the gym wants to do

    • I’ve never been clear on M/F scaling but I have always thought RX for women was the same as men apart from the WBs. Not sure. I think what’s important is to pick your scaling and stick with it so you can compare F50 in the future. Great work today! Hated to miss! In WPB with Team CFRX!!

    • don’t feel bad at all! 😉 when you mentioned it was written that way @ CFNE, i made the call so we would be more consistent with what ben is programming…I def believe this is best for our peeps. that said, i gave everyone in subsequent sessions the disclaimer about the change so they could choose & really compare apple-to-apples (as per Street’s comment). some folks chose the way HQ wrote it (and how we at RX have always done it prior to today), others did not. all got a great workout. 🙂 Awesome day at the playground everyone!

  3. Hmmm, now discovering that women have scaled weights I’m not feeling as confident as I was when I finished….
7/1/11 (3rd Month of CossFit)- “Dirty Thirty” 35:02
Today (11 Months of CrossFit)- “Filthy Fifty” 43:59 everything was Rx except DUs. I started DUs to only get 8 and decided, as much as I love my gym, I didn’t want to stay there forever attempting DUs. So I switched to singles. :/

  4. I have to say I love chippers.

38:55 RX (took more than 15 minutes off my time)
    35# for PP, 35#kbs

    I’m confused on the scaling….

    ————

    last years july 1,2011:

    mods:
    25#Kbs, 35#pp, 10#wb

    54:04

  5. 38:54
    step up instead of jumps
    KBS #35
V-ups instead of knees to elbows
    pp #45
    good mornings #45
    seated wall balls #
    100 singles

had to modify because of knee
but the last time I did this my time was
48:09 and I used less weight so I
    will take that improvement 🙂
    Faster by 9:55, yay!

  6. Congrats to all who did this today. I saw it and said HELL NO. The last time I did it (for a fifth time), two days before my 50th birthday, it made me weep. Literally. During the workout. Horrible experience.

    Hell no.

Went for an interval run instead. Maybe next time.

  7. My first filthy fifty and those burpees at the end got me.

    37ish minutes…can’t remember exactly. RX.

  8. 32:59 Rx Ouch. Was doing well at the half-way point, and then just broke down.

  9. 33:09 RX with 45# PP and 24″ box. Rested a lot on wall balls
