~News You Can Use~

Moving on up!

Hey CFRX’ers! Time for a “status update”, so listen up! Lots and lots of good things in store…

First good thing: The Schedule.

We have thought long and hard on this one and decided that it is best to switch to a 7 day-programming schedule (no more “pre-set” rest days). No more Thursday/Sunday Rest Day. If you come in, you’ve got a WOD 🙂 If you miss a WOD, no worries, just pick up on the next day and you’re right back on track! That said, all athletes are expected to take 1-2 days per 7 as rest, ideally working 2 to 3 days in a row, then RESTING.

Second good thing: Growth!

The CFRX family is growing and you are all to thank for the fantastic referrals and good vibes that you’ve brought to our little neighborhood garage-gym. With all of this newness so comes growing pains, and you may have noticed that it has been getting a bit cramped in our old, cozy 2600 sf space. SO, we will be moving. …no worries though 🙂 We’re moving literally right across the street (alley). Like, that big yellow building across the alley…yup, the one with 27 ft ceilings and just over 5000 sf of space…that’s the spot. Can I get a hell yeah!!! We are super exited about this and you all get to be part of making this new, larger space the most awesome CrossFit gym in the city!:-) Anyhow, it looks like May is our moving month…final date to be determined. In the meantime, one major issue that I’m sure many of you have noticed is that our current space lacks a “kid area.” One of our top priorities is getting a kids area for SAFE playtime for the lil ones. Can I get another hell yeah?! In the meantime, could all of you mommies and daddies please keep a watchful eye on your lil ones….babies b4 barbells!

A few other good things…Food, Friends, Fun!

Keep your eye out for some social events approaching on the calendar…like our Paleo Potluck in March. We’ll also be having a few Team WODS at CandlerPark as the weather gets nicer. And pay attention to the blog, because we’ve got some indoor trampoline Dodge-ball coming up too. Yes, you heard right…Dodge-ball!

So thank you all for everything that you’ve done to make CFRX the amazing place it is today. Embrace the change (cuz its awesome)!!!

  5. I love it all! Congratulations on so much success so soon.

  6. Awesome! Congratulations! Three words: location, location, location. 🙂

  7. EVERYONE SHOULD BE BLOGGING THEIR WORK! I KNOW Y’ALL READ IT, TAKE A MINUTE TO ENTER YOUR NUMBERS!!

  8. “Jack”
    6 rounds even rx

My shoulders will be hating me tomorrow!

  9. It is too bad the new place is not located to the east of the existing gym. Then we could be movin’ on up, to the east side. If we moved the gym to paige or mike’s place, that would work.

    • I don’t know about all the young folks at the gym (who may not know what you’re talking about), but this amuses me.

  10. Congrats! I can hardly wait to come visit the new space. CrossFit Puerto Rico is growing leaps and bounds in its first two months too.
