Hellz! This has ‘Erin’ all over it.
For those racing this weekend, a word of caution. As distances get longer, friction becomes a bigger and bigger problem and can be most prominent in cooler weather. Most people first notice it as chafing on the inner thigh, nipples and between the cheeks (yeah those cheeks). I start to notice the first issues forming at distances greater than 10 miles. There is a product called “Glide” sold at most sports and running stores; it is a glycerin based protectant that will largely prevent the skin on skin issues. Bandaids (gel type work the best as they don’t come off with sweating) will protect your nipples. None of these will be major problems at the half marathon distance but a little prevention will likely make your race and post-race recovery much more enjoyable.

DL form is improving.
I did one set of 25 deadlifts at RX (!!) but had to drop to142# for the last set. Pull-ups w/ purple, red and one other skinny band. I have a tough time with those, but finished!

187 – that’s 65% of 1RM. 90% would be 257. So my rehab continues. But at least I’m lifting heavier than I was. Back is much better.

I think I wouldve been faster but this was post-cindy and she was still riding my back.
Deadlifts were heavy enough that I broke several times over the 25 reps.
