Holbrook

5 Thrusters (115#/80#)
10 Pull-ups
100 meter Sprint

Note: Rest 1 minute between rounds. Post fastest and slowest rounds to comments.

U.S. Army Captain Jason Holbrook, 28, of Burnet, Texas, assigned to 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), based out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, was killed on July 29th, 2010 in Tsagay, Afghanistan when insurgents attacked his vehicle with an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his wife Heather Holbrook and his parents Joan and James Holbrook.

    29:09 total time; 1:42 fastest and 2:21 slowest (this was my slowest by 12 sec in part because i l had to dodge a dump truck on the sprint).

  8. Accentuate the positive:
    1) First (and probably last) time I will ever say thrusters were the easiest part of WOD
    2) Managed 5-6 pull ups unbroken each round

    RX – 26:26. Fastest: 1:09 Slowest: 2:20
    As pullup time increased so did my time.

  14. Used empty men’s bar (44#) for thrusters and red band on pull ups. Fastest: 1:43; Slowest: 2:13; Overall time: 29:26 (includes nearly a minute extra when I got distracted explaining to Liz to stop lowering her bar on the thrusters! Don’t feel bad, honey, I remember when I didn’t know how to do thrusters…)

    Slowest: 2:10 (like Radha, a dump truck got in my way)
    Total: 29:21
    63# for thrusters (1st one knocked me on my bum. Haaaaaa!)

    fastest: 1:35 (had to wait for a pullup bar)
    slowest: 3:02

    total: 31:01

  20. Happy to make up this workout on Thursday. Was too pooped after our brutal Elite Games workout Monday night to approach this on Tuesday.

    fast: 1.11
    slow: 1.23
    Nice and steady throughout the workout. Enjoyed this workout.
