  5. 10/2 Sumo Deadlifts @ 137# Felt very heavy.

    Metcon:

    Single Jump Ropes (no more DUs): 150/160/180 = 490
    SDHPs @ 65#: 23/25/23 = 71
    OHS @ 65# 20/20/24 = 64

    This was tougher than I expected even though I did single jump ropes instead of double unders. That was the only easy part. Back is really tight and tired and needs a rest.

    • Rest, Mama. I’m glad you didn’t double-under. I actually dream-worried about this. 😀

      • I should be calling you Mama! Yes, mama, I will rest. 🙂 I didn’t need my arm twisted too much to give up double unders.

    • PS. I think my new jump rope is too long…I need someone to show me how to fix it.

      • Paige, I’ve got cable cutters in my locker. You just take your tiny allen wrench that came with the rope, loosen the screw on one end and slide the little metal part to where you want it and tighten it back. Cut off excess rope.

    • weight was 44# (men’s bar… always think it’s 45)

      • Laura says some of the men’s bars *are* 45. Maybe we can weigh and mark them all. 🙂

  10. Fun group at noon! Glad to work out in a group again as it’s been several weeks. Still modifying. Used 154# on SDLHPs and raced Kelly. Subbed FS for OHS on metcon. 238 total. PR on DU today at 35. Winning!

  12. Full house today at noon – fun! The WOD – less fun. Came in feeling very sore and left feeling sorer…must be recovering from my lazy week at the beach.

    10×2 SDL @ 60%: 154# – these felt good

    MetCon w/66#: 313 reps

    DUs 91/64/74 – 60 consecutive DUs on R1!
    SDHPs 17/15/14 – I struggled w/these and wasted lots of time here
    OHS 11/12/15 – wished I did a warm-up set b/c I was getting better with each round

      • Thanks but…I win what? More pain maybe. Numbers never tell the whole story. Did we “leave it all in the gym” today? That’s what I’m interested in.

  16. Thanks to all the noon coaches for helping me with technique! I was super impressed with all the folks there, and particularly enjoyed watching Trish dominate on the double unders. I think having her in front of me helped me reach my pr of 32 consecutive double unders.

    OHS: 20 (8/10/12) these were bad- Not low enuff!

    The first round was unpleasant. The second was fun. Actually enjoyed the workout despite the DU and OHS. OHS felt less awkward with each round and my DU numbers weren’t too bad. That’s good enough for me!!
