  4. Was totally not expecting this to be this hard for me. Power snatched the first 7 or so unbroken, and ended up doin the first 17 reps with the P.S….big mistake(for me). Took a lot out of me. Even though I’ve been practicing my running, I still struggle with the sprints during the WODs. Clean and Jerked the last 13 reps, and I should have done it through out. The snatches probably cost me over a minute in rd 2. Oh well, I may do it agaib this PM with all C&J to compare.

  6. Love the pics! Did the HQ wod this morning thinking my right arm was rested enough– wrong. 😦
    Used 44lb on the ground to overhead but that was still not good for the bad arm. I’ll seek professional attention for it now.

      • The nerve! I made the trip, Coach. Dr. says it’s a nerve. I’ll be back in the a.m. but can’t do any overhead lifts.

  8. 5:24 rx. Ended up doing half power snatch and half clean and jerks

    After a horrible morning, came to the gym in bad spirits. Did snatch-grip deadlifts and burpees 21, 15, 9 with 54# in 15:30. Still very slow with burpees, but I improved my form a bit (learned to come up from the floor with feet wide, which makes it easier to stand) and they were less painful than usual. Didn’t have the energy for the second part of the workout.

    I’m really glad I came in. Everyone was seriously sweet to me, and I feel better. xoxo

    Snatch deadlift – I used 77 because in warmup this seemed hard but looking at it now, should have used more.

    1 Hang Squat Snatch

    Started with 55 but moved to 44 to get good form.
    ~7:30

    I’m really liking this programming, I feel like I am really getting good technique help, today was a great example of that. Usually, I do snatches when they come up but never really practice the movement.

    ~6:16 RX
    Did 10 snatch, 10 C/J, then broke last set 5 snatch then 5 C/J. Don’t think I lost very much time on lifts but need to run faster!

  14. Just did it again. Faster, but still not what I wanted or anywhere close to Zeke and Bryan. The C&J is definitley the way to go…Zeke, you would have gone sub 4 mins with it.

    1st round unbroken, 2nd horrible, 3rd 7/3…running sucked all the way!

    • I’m going to enjoy this for one day. But I think snatches are the way to start. I did first round and 2 and 3rd I started with snatches and then switched when had to break.

      • Yea, I just saw Mac and Kelly burn through it a little while ago. Mac 535 and Kelly 425, the did a good bit of snatches too. I just think my snatch isn’t as fast as it used was before all the new shoulder crap, but mainly I’m just not running fast when I’m fatigued. Yall all did a great job…I need to get better 😉

    Rx 5:34 (all clean and jerks or clean and push press)

    Followed up with the Heat WOD for the Garage Games.
    1 min pull-ups: 28
    1 min sit-ups: 35
    1 min push-ups: 23
    1 min squats: 50
    1 min dead lift (205#): 10
    All done with running clock

    I’m planning to sign up for open/scaled portion of the event and hope others do as well.
