  1. Watching Meet The Browns with Angela Bassett and remembering that ‘way back when’ LD would just look at me and say “Angela Bassett” when I was slacking in a workout. She knew I loved AB’s arms. 🙂

    • And now, Angela Bassett wishes she had your arms.

    • Hell….I wish I had your arms 😉

  2. I like that picture.

  3. 5 rounds + 7 BS
using 154# for BS and 30# for OH lunges

  4. I do like a good 20 minute AMRAP. Used 60lbs for back squat; recovering right arm 10lb dumb bell and left arm 20lb.
7 rounds plus 1 back squat

  5. 6 rounds even

    60# back squat
    20# OH lunges

  6. Smooth sailing this morning! Lots of hard workers and a few new faces…Gr8 Day 🙂

    • I agree, it was a treat to see all of the folks do the AMRAP (glad I didn’t have to do it!) and to see how smoothy each heat went.

  7. Completed Heat WOD for placement in the Garage Games on 8/21.
    With a running clock,
    1 min pullups = 26
    1 min situps = 35
    1 min pushups = 26
    1 min squats = 44
    1 min Dl@ 165 = 14

Speaking of the garage games, Scott G, Therese and I are all participating in the “Survival of the Fittest” challenge on 8/21 at Crossfit Garage in Woodstock. Anyone who wants to come out, we’d love to have some RX folks there!

    • Yes, yes….I am going “advanced” on this (not the open/scaled) so I’ll need all the cheering I can get 😉

And seriously, the open/scaled division uses really light weight (95 lb men/45 lb women for ground to overhead and cleans…jumping pullups are acceptable) so ANYONE should consider coming and working out!

      Its a lot of fun!

    • I might be interested in giving the lower (“open”) level a try. I’ll try the Heat WOD later this week and see how my scores compare with the others who’ve signed up.

For those who are interested, average scores for the various classes are posted here:

      • yay!

    • I’ll try to come cheer! Do it, Aaron!

      • Yes, do it Aaron!

  8. Did some gymnastic practice today
    forward rolls
    HSPU practice
    “skin the cat”
    toes to bar
    knees to elbows
    double unders

  9. 5 rounds even

    76# for Back Squat
    25# Dumbbells for OH Lunges
