A suicide bomber killed seven CIA officers and one Jordanian officer at a remote base in southeastern Afghanistan on December 30, 2009 after posing as a potential informant reporting on Al Qaeda. Seven new stars will be etched onto the memorial wall at the CIA where every star represents grieving friends, family and colleagues dedicated to fight against the enemy, forever in their name.

  1. Seven
    7 HSPU (Green/Red)
    7 Thrusters (110#)
    7 Knees to Elbows
    7 Deadlifts (198#)
    7 Burpees
    7 KB Swings (2 pd)
    7 Pull-ups

Tough workout to end a holiday weekend triple of hero WODS. Thrusters were the biggest challenge, broken up 3/2/2 or 2/2/2/1/1/1. One of my first times using the 2pd KB in a WOD so pleased with that.

  2. Michael convince me to go Nutts today. 🙂

    • 😀

  3. Yeah, ready for the rest day.
    HSPUs w/black & red
Thrusters were something like 49# (I left my book at gym!)
    Deadlifts 110#
    Kettlebell 35#
Pull ups w/tiny not very good; did my best

  4. 83:08 rx. this was by far one of the hardest wods I’ve done. For stranger reasons though. I was never out of breath, but just so physically taxed from the thrusters and mainly my grip strength was my biggest struggle. My hands were on fire doing pullups and knees to elbows. It was grueling trying not to break those things because hands! I’m glad to have this one as something in the past and look forward to attacking easier wods fresh!

  5. Way to stick with it. An awesome accomplishment to do that one RX!

    • That was for Nick.

  6. I would like to offer my personal congrats to everyone who came in this this weekend…even once…and faced ANY of these new Hero WODs. This was the toughest cycle of 3 workouts I’ve ever seen from HQ and you all should be very proud of your effort! Way to get into the spirit and keep the gym “warmed-up” for our coaches and team returning from down south! 🙂
    p.s. yay Laura!
