Didn’t have much time to spend and have a splitting headache from having the rings slam into the side of my head during JOSHUA wod yesterday. IN any case, I feel like a workout is a workout, so here are my numbers:
154-164-176f-176f-176-181-186
My PR is 205, but I just didn’t have it in me. This is one of my favorite lifts, so I’m bummed I didn’t have it all there today, but maybe next time. Plus the guilt of not hanging out with the kids had me rushing home. Thanks, Susan, for letting me know that the guilt just lingers…It makes me feel normal.

Then tried for 170 again and failed; not for lack of getting it high enough, but for some reason I could not even attempt to get under the bar. Stupid!
First and third rounds of OHS were unbroken…second round was 7/8. Last round of HSPUs were one at a time. I’ve been focusing on really pushing myself after talk with Laura and it feels like it is starting to take hold…keep on pushing.
88-99-109F x 2. Not a good day at all. Totally not motivated. Once I failed 109, it was over. Definitely need to work on power instead of lifting on the cleans and resetting before the jerk.

Thanks, Pat, for sharing your bar. Thanks, Mac, for the tip on imagining no weight on the bar.
Wow! That’s huge! Things took off after I left. Wish I had seen it!
Wow, Mike! Nice work!!! Way to get over that mental block. I think I’ll have to try that next time. 🙂
